Tasting Note

Fresh cut nectarine. Fragrant and fruit driven with a subtle influence of French oak. This Chardonnay has lovely elegance with persistent stone fruit flavours. Dry in style, medium bodied and finishes with a clean, bright, soft acidity.

Richard Hamilton Wines is family wine business owned by Dr Richard Hamilton and his wife Jette. With a strong wine industry heritage dating from 1837, the family has developed a distinguished international reputation for elegant fine wines. They are based on a simple philosophy – great wines are crafted from great vineyards.

Harvested while the acidity is still vibrant and sugar level not too high to retain elegance. Some flavoursome pressings were re-incorporated into the free run and the wine fermented with a neutral yeast. The French oak used provides a subtle background to the fruit, while maturation on lees has helped provide the persistence of flavour.
